Synopsis:
While in the hospital recovering from his injuries sustained when defeating the 1000, Booster learns that he is dying of an unidentified ailment. A mob storms into the hospital determined to take their hatred of super-heroes out on Booster. Trixie dons a costume designed by Jack Soo that gives her magnetic powers and comes to Booster's aid.
Booster, Trixie, Dirk, and Jack then flee the area in Booster's private plane. Booster's action are in defiance of the presidential order banning super-heroes which now makes him a wanted man. He then tells the others that he came from the future where he is also a fugitive.
Jack takes Booster to meet Ripley Hunter, a colleague who is working on creating a time machine. Booster recognizes Rip's machine as similar to the one he stole from the Space Museum in 2462. He helps Rip finish the machine, then returns to his own time period to find a cure for his ailment and power cells for his costume.
When the group arrives in the future, the Time Machine malfunctions. Jack and Rip stay behind to repair it, while Booster and Trixie try to locate Booster's family. Booster soon learns that his mother died shortly after he disappeared and his sister was evicted from their home.
