Comments:
This story takes place before Lar Gand joins L.E.G.I.O.N. in L.E.G.I.O.N. '90 #16 and continues in part in New Gods #18.

Synopsis:
Yuga Khan, a Promethean Giant, awakens from his slumber. Lar Gand watches helplessly as Khan's awakening causes the planet Velos to be destroyed. On New Genesis, Highfather orders Commander Gideon to prepare for war. On Earth, Orion and Lightray continue to learn about human existance while apprehending a gang of bank robbers. Meanwhile Darkseid dispatches Necromina to Earth to raise an army of the dead with the intent of capturing Orion.
