This story is continued from Forever People #4 and continues in Forever People #6.

Synopsis:
While the Forever People remain the victims of DeSaad's psychological torture, Darkseid's servant siphons their fear for his own amusement. Meanwhile, Mother Box has contacted Sonny Sumo, a samurai who fights a giant robot for sport. Mother Box heals Sonny's wounds then brings him to Happyland to rescue the Forever People. Once they are free, the kids watch as Sonny puts DeSaad's soldiers to sleep. They realize that he possess the secret Anti-Life Equation. Darkseid learns this also and makes Sonny his next target.
