Fables Part II
This story continues in part from Detective Comics Annual #1 and continues in part in Question Annual #1.
Synopsis:
A European aristocrat named Kalesque is a champion archer who wishes to challenge Green Arrow to a competition. When Green Arrow repeatedly refuses to participate, Kalesque travels to Seattle and begins killing people. Ollie blames himself for the deaths, and his loss of confidence causes his skill with the bow to disappear.
Batman then contacts Ollie at the request of Shiva, a martial artist who has recently arrived in America. Shiva visits Ollie with the sensei who gives Ollie some advice in the form of a parable. Ollie takes the advice and engages Kalesque without his bow. The killer archer refuses to kill Green Arrow without first knowing who is better. Even without his arrow, Ollie then defeats Kalesque.
