Synopsis:
A wealthy couple attends a play in which a kidnapping occurs. When they return home, they receive a call that tells them their own son was kidnapped. Fearing their son will be killed as was done in the play, the couple pays the ransom demands. Their son then turns out to be alive and unharmed, never having been kidnapped.

The police keep the case quiet and begin investigating the play. Green Lantern is also suspicious. The following evening another man is threatened. Green Lantern intervenes and stops a gang from blowing up a building. However, the crooks get away.

Forbes the director of the plays then tries to frame Green Lantern. At the next performance, he tries to have an actor dressed as GL kill a police captain. The real GL stops him. Forbes is then tracked down, but is fatally shot. Before dying Forbes confesses to being behind the swindles and murders.
