Synopsis:
The soldiers of Easy Company think Sgt. Rock is able to detect Nazi traps with ease. They relate several stories of Rock outfoxing the Nazis and saving Easy from harm. Rock remembers one encounter in North Africa when he wasn't as canny.
Two new recruits had been assigned to Easy Company. Rock took the green apples on a routine patrol and was ambushed by a Nazi tank. The recruits were killed and Rock was blinded, but not before he destroyed the tank.
Alone in the desert, Rock came across a wounded soldier who claimed to be a G.I. The soldier was really a Nazi who Rock then carried on his back toward the enemy lines. Rock eventually caught on to the deception and killed the Nazi. Easy Company then found Rock and helped with back to camp.
