Synopsis:
The Black Pirate escapes the burning wreckage of Captain Ruff’s ship and stays afloat by clinging to an empty barrel. He is rescued by a merchant vessel bound for Savannah. Once ashore, Jon rides to an inn, where he meets Jeanne, a friend from his childhood. That evening, a cloaked stranger seeking Valor attacks the barmaid, bringing Jon to her rescue.
