This story is continued from Warlord #69 and continues in Warlord #71.

Synopsis:
The Warlord and Shakira are held at gunpoint by a woman who thinks that they are mutants. Shakira changes form and catches the woman off guard. Morgan then disarms her. After some discussion, the woman agrees to trust Morgan and leads them to her farm.

From the woman and her husband Dan, Morgan learns that the future Earth was not destroyed by war. Toxic waste ruined the Earth. More than 100 years have passed since he entered Skartaris. More people from the outside world also discovered the land inside the Earth and migrated there to escape the pollution. Now, Skartaris is densely populated by outlanders. Morgan doesn't reveal too much about himself to the settlers, but he trades one of his captured guns for a horse to continue his ride south.
