Synopsis:
The people of Shamballah are frightened by an unnatural eclipse. At the same time a nearby volcanic eruption has caused the city to be threatened by lava flows and stampedes of dinosaurs. Travis Morgan, Tara, and Power Girl all go into action to save the people from death. They succeed in saving many and the action eventually calms, but the city is still in peril.
Meanwhile, Jennifer Morgan communes with the elementals. They tell her of a dark evil which threatens Skartaris. They demand a boon for their help which she grants. Jennifer then visits Power Girl to inform her that she is needed back on Earth. Despite the dangers still threatening Skartaris, Power Girl leaves Shamballah to return home.
Travis and Tara retire to the palace for rest. Before they can sleep, the Warlord hears trouble under the palace. He and Tara discover that the Scavenger is attempting to break into the palace vaults. Morgan defeats him, but the villain is mysteriously spirited away.
The Scavenger finds himself brought before Khnathaiti, a recently revived sorceress. She transforms the costumed crook into a magical Scavenger of Souls.
