Synopsis:
While Angela Revere recovers in the hospital, Blue Beetle tracks down her uncle Chronos. Following clues from Angela's apartment, the Beetle locates Chronos's hide-out. The two engage in a battle that rages across the city. Beetle is jeered by crowds reacting to Gordon Godfrey's anti-super-hero campaign. Beetle injures his arm, but he succeeds in apprehending Chronos.
Meanwhile Melody Case has her purse stolen in the streets. She chases the female thief, who is struck by a truck. When Melody visits the girl in the hospital, she witnesses men abducting her. Before she can react, the men knock her out and succeed in kidnapping the pursesnatcher.
