Synopsis:
Guy Gardner and Kilowog slug it out over the skies of Russia. Both the Soviet and American governments are on high alert. The Rocket Red Brigade enters the fight though Kilowog asks them to refrain. When Gardner gets the upper hand, one of the Rocket Red's admits that Katma Tui and John Stewart have been taken prisoner. Kilowog then turns against his Soviet allies to save his friends.
The rest of the Green Lantern Corps is called in by President Reagan. They arrive in time to see the Soviets launch a massive missile strike against the United States. The four Green Lantern work to stop the strike and to prevent America from launching a counter attack.
In Moscow, Guy Gardner rescues Katma and John, while Kilowog confronts Gorbachev. The Soviet leader is protected by the original Rocket Red Josef Denisovich. Kilowog appeals to Josef's sense of friendship, but the Rocket Red follows orders and fights Kilowog. The fight result in his death. The other Green Lanterns then arrive on the scene and end the conflict.
