Synopsis:
Hal Jordan is confronted by an armored alien. However, when his ring runs out of charge, Hal is suddenly discarded. He wanders out of the police station and hitches a ride to the hospital to visit Andy. When he arrives he finds that the hospital was destroyed by the alien, and there were no survivors.
Hal deduces that the alien is visiting places where he went with his power ring. He arrives at Ferris Aircraft to find that the alien has destroyed it too. Hal then returns to the desert and finds Abin Sur's ship. Inside he finds the power battery and uses it to recharge the ring. He soon discovers that the ring can communicate. He learns how Abin Sur came to Earth after a battle with Legion, the alien.
Legion then arrives. He chases Hal around the ship. With the ring's help, Hal triggers a nuclear explosion using the ship's reactor.
