Comments:
This story is continued in part from the second story of Steel #4.
This is the final issue of Steel. A sixth issue was planned, but the series was cancelled before it saw publication as part of the DC implosion. Black and white copies of the story were included as part of Cancelled Comic Cavalcade #2. Several pages of that story were used in All-Star Squadron #8 and All-Star Squadron #9.
Synopsis:
After sustaining an injury from an exploding grenade, Steel is rushed to the hospital. Doctor’s are amazed, the he survived, but his wounds are severe enough to require additional units of the bio-retardant formula.
Against doctor’s advice, Steel leaves the hospital to visit his former colleague Olivia Brown, who now has the bio-retardant formula. Steel finds her just as she is abducted by a strange monster. He follows them to a mansion in the swamps, where he rescues her. The monster and his brother perish when the house collapses.
