Synopsis:
Etienne Pitrie, a young boy from the swamp, visits Gene LaBostrie, a traiteur or healer. He has come for medicine for his father, but he also serves as Gene's apprentice. LaBostrie instructs the boy on the uses of some swamp healing techniques. He is then given an errand to deliver a package to the Swamp Thing. It is the secret of the Swamp Thing which bonds Gene and Etienne for they share the knowledge of how to contact him.
