Synopsis:
Nabu, Jack Small, and Petey worry when Linda does not return from her search for Eric. Eventually, she does return. She explains that her power as Doctor Fate is disappearing. Nabu explains that Fate was meant to be two people. With Eric gone, her power is fading. He then gathers the group and takes them on a trip to Fate's tower which has been reconstructed.
Elsewhere, the Phantom Stranger visits Eric Strauss whose soul is trapped in the body of Eugene Di Bella. He attempts to restore Eric's memory of his true self.
Meanwhile, the Lords of Chaos transform Dr. Stoner into a chaos warrior, the Anti-Fate. Stoner travels to the place of his former employment and proceeds to stage a break out at Arkham Asylum.
