Comments:
This story contains two parts; a framing sequence which occurs following Constantine's release from Ravenscar in 1982 and a flashback which depicts his ancestor Kon-Sten-Tyn, after the fall of Camelot.
The framing sequence is presumed to take place in April 1982 as it mentions the invasion of the Falkland Islands is underway.
Synopsis:
John Constantine is released from Ravenscar, a mental institution, where he was trying to cope with the events that occurred in Newcastle. After his release, John contemplates suicide. He meets a former associate, Martin Peters, who used to be in a punk band. Peters asks John for a music video of his former band the Mucous Membranes.
Later, after a strange encounter with a mysterious woman, John dreams of his apparent ancestor Kon-Sten-Tyn, a young king trained by Merlin after the fall of Camelot. Kon-Sten-Tyn built Ravenscar and serves a goddess. Twice he sacrificed his own sons to the goddess in exchange for long life. Eventually, the goddess bid Kon-Sten-Tyn to convert to Christianity. He eventually transformed into a dragon and was named the Bloody Saint.
After waking, John tracks down the video Peters requested. He decides to watch it before making the decision to sell.
