Synopsis:
Jason Blood leads several damned souls in an attempted escape from Hell. Instead they reach a false Heaven where several of them are killed. Jason flees and eventually comes face-to-face with Belial, the father of Etrigan. Jason has no memory of Belial or Etrigan, but he is soon reintroduced to his old friend Harry who was condemned to Hell and now exists as a throw pillow. Etrigan causes Jason to fall asleep, so that he can re-emerge. The Demon then enlists the aid of his father in his scheme to rule Hell.
Meanwhile in Gotham City, Batman struggles to free Glenda Mark from prison, and Klarion introduces himself to the district attorney Jaynes.
