Comments:
This story is continued in part from Action Comics #588.
Given the fact that the Corps is together in one place, and Arisia's comment concerning John and Katma Tui's relationship status, it can be concluded that this story takes place prior to their wedding in Green Lantern Corps #212.
Synopsis:
While searching deep space for a new world for a race of intelligent worms Arisia of the Green Lantern Corps discovers Superman floating unconscious in space. She brings the Man of Steel to a temporary outpost set up by the Green Lantern Corps where Superman is revived. Together they deduce that Superman was caught in a space warp when the Thanagaran invasion force was sent away from Earth by Hawkman.
Long range scans of Earth also reveal an impending menace as a biological planetoid is approaching. Superman, Hal, Arisia, Katma Tui, and Salakk all return to Earth to divert the planetoid. Superman eventually realizes that the menace was created from soil from the graveyard he sent into space months earlier. The bacteria in the soil mutated and grew to become a threat.
The combined power of the four Green Lanterns boosted by Superman's will power is enough to divert the planetoid into deep space. Once the threat is over Salakk discovers that the new planet will be ideal for the Theril worm creatures to inhabit.
