Synopsis:
The Justice Society agrees to participate in a dream recording experiment conducted by Dr. Forest Malone. However, Malone is really their old enemy the Brain Wave, who has tricked them into subjecting themselves to dreams of his making.
Hawkman dreams of a war between fire and ice and emerges thinking he is a thermometer. Dr. Mid-Nite fights in a world of giant germs, where he winds up believing he is a living disease. Green Lantern awakens from his dream believing he is a solar system. Flash encounters a land of talking animals where he becomes a laughing stock. The Atom is convinced that he is a sponge. Only Johnny Thunder seems unaffected, though his dreams appear to have brought him sanity.
Once the entire JSA is awakened from their dreams, they behave as they did in the dreams. Brain Wave and his crooks humiliate them, but Johnny summons his Thunderbolt. The Thunderbolt shocks the group back to normal, where they can battle and defeat the crooks. Johnny is restored to normal too, when he is struck in the head.
