Part 2. : "The Secret of the Traitor Thefts"
Jimmy's hometown of Mapleton is revealed in this story.
Synopsis:
Jimmy Olsen returns to his hometown of Mapleton to infiltrate a teenage motorcycle gang. Jimmy passes their initiation tests and is sent on a mission to steal a weathervane. Another member of the gang, Chip, betrays Jimmy and appears to be working with Rena Starling, a high school teacher.
Having failed on his first mission, the gang sends Jimmy to commit another theft. This time he must steal a statue from the top of a mock Notre Dame cathedral. A man dressed as Quasimodo captures Jimmy, but Chip comes to the aid of the boy reporter.
Jimmy realizes that Chip is really Batman's partner Robin in disguise. Jimmy and Robin then defeat Quasimodo and his gang. They learn that the stolen objects contained spy cameras which captured a secret government project on film.
Jimmy and Robin return to the gang to capture their boss. The gang cooperates and pretends to deliver the stolen objects to their boss, Mr. Traitor. When Traitor attempts to kill the boys, Superman steps in to save them. Jimmy then turns in the story to impress his new boss Van Benson.
