Synopsis:
Congo Bill comes across a dying man in the jungle. The man explains that he was given a map that led to the legendary gold mines of Ophir. He set out to find them with his brother Alex Holberg, but madness drove his brother to shoot him.

After Holberg dies, Bill and Professor Kent set out to find Alex. They follow the trail to the red cliffs. Alex spots his pursuers and shoots Bill. However, before he can finish off the soldier of fortune, a stick of dynamite explodes. Alex is caught in the blast and dies, taking the treasure map with him to the grave.
