When Walt Trigger's guns suddenly jam, he is captured by the Trixter boys. However, his brother Wayne comes to the sheriff's rescue. Wayne then convinces Walt to stop relying solely on his guns and use his wits instead. Rising to the challenge Walt begins conducting his duties without sidearms.
After some early struggles, Walt adapts to the idea of not carrying weapons and using his fists and mind to fight crime. However, the Slick Daniels Gang captures him. Wayne manages to switch places with his brother and surprise the gang. After the outlaws are defeated, Walt resumes carrying guns, but he is now prepared to fight without them when necessary.
