Synopsis:
Sheriff Walt Trigger is surprised by two stagecoach rustlers and held at gunpoint. He attempts to signal his brother Wayne for help, but Wayne ignores it. Walt manages to outwit the rustlers on his own and capture them.
When Walt returns to town, he learns that Wayne has temporarily lost his memory in an accident which is why he didn't come to the sheriff's aid. Walt is forced to fight crime alone for once. Wayne's memory eventually returns, but when he sees that his brother has been successful without him, he continues to feign his memory loss.
The Green Bandanna Gang then strikes. They attempt to rob a bank, but Walt is prepared for them. However, he doesn't see two members of the gang approaching from behind. Wayne sees them and causes some noise to draw his brother's attention to the gunmen. After Walt finishes apprehending the crooks, Wayne tells him that his memory has returned. Walt has gained confidence in his ability to function as sheriff even without Wayne's help.
