Synopsis:
Jimmy is invited to Superman's Fortress of Solitude to witness ceremonies in Kandor and on an artifial Krypton that honor the memory of Superman's home planet. Inspired to stop the tragic events from happening, Jimmy decides to go back in time and stop the destruction of Krypton. The Phantom Zone criminals, Jax-Ur and Vakox, witness Jimmy's preparations. They assist him with his time machine and plant a post-hypnotic suggestion in his mind.
Jimmy's time machine works and he arrives just as Kandor is being stolen by Brainiac. Despite his warning, authorities are unable to stop Brainiac from making the theft. Jimmy then jumps forward in time slightly to meet with the Science Council.
When he sees that Jor-El's pleas are unable to convince the Council, he decides to wait a few days before making his own warning. Jimmy then pretends to be an amnesia victim and befriends Dr. Zak-Lor and his daughter Miri.
Jimmy uses his knowledge of Krypton's future to make predictions that come true. However, his warning is still ignored. Then the hypnotic suggestion kicks in, and he is forced to release Jax-Ur and Vakox from the Phantom Zone.
Despite all his efforts Jimmy fails to stop Krypton's doom. He returns to his own time and gives up his desire to change history. As for the Phantom Zone criminals, they were forced back into the Zone when Krypton's destruction causes a time-warp implosion.
