Synopsis:
When Alan Scott tells Doiby Dickles that he is priceless, Doiby takes the comment as an insult. Doiby moves away and gets a job at a sporting goods store. Meanwhile, Alan investigate a sports gambling racket in which crooks cause injury to the favored athletes. Green Lantern tracks the crooks to the sporting goods store where coincidentally works. He loses track of the crooks, but a telegram from Doiby leads him to an ice carnival.

The crooks have entered Doiby in several winter sports events. Green Lantern secretly assists Doiby in order to thwart the crooks' scheme. Doiby and GL then apprehend the gang. After the fight, Alan explains that "priceless" is a compliment, not an insult. Doiby is then given credit for capturing the gang.
