Synopsis:
Gang boss Slash Scraponi is sentenced to twenty years in prison after his former colleague Corny Hogan testifies against him. Scraponi vows vengeance, and a short time later Hogan winds up dead. The Ray investigates. He examines the body, the visits Bedlam Island where Scraponi is being held. Scraponi has replaced the warden and guards with his own men, so he meets with reporter Happy Terrill. Happy links Scraponi to the murder and exposes the criminal. Scraponi then tries to escape the prison using the real warden as a hostage. The Ray saves the hostage and apprehends Scraponi.
