Synopsis:
Superman and Batman have been taken prisoner in the country of Lubania by Colonel Koslov. Superman is kept powerless with synthetic Kryptonite. While in the prison camp, the heroes are subjected to psychological and physical torment. After Perry White makes a plea for their release, Superman's powers seem to return allowing them to escape. However, the escapees are really imposters sent to infiltrate the U.N. security council.
The real Superman and Batman remain held captive. However, they are able to switch identities without the guards becoming aware. Superman's powers return because Batman is now receiving the Kryptonite dosages instead of him. The heroes then escape the camp in time to stop their dopplegangers from bombing the United Nations. Following his failure, Koslov is made a prisoner in his own camp.
