Synopsis:
Mxyzptlk returns to Metropolis to continue his impish pranks. When Superman scolds him for his pranks, he inadvertently gives Mxyzptlk an idea to become a hero. The imp mends his prankish nature and becomes Super-Mxyzptlk.
Super-Mxyzptlk becomes a hero by helping in emergencies. His magic powers enable him to respond faster than Superman, who is left feeling obsolete. Metropolis is pleased with Mxyzptlk's reformation and builds a statue in his honor. However, Bizarro is passing by and alters the statue.
When the statue is unveiled, Mxyzptlk reads the altered inscription which contains his name backwards. As a result the imp is banished back to his fifth dimensional world. Superman is blamed for the incident. Though he proves his innocence to the world, Mxyzptlk still believes Superman was responsible out of jealousy. He vows to give up heroism when he next visits Earth.
