Synopsis:
Superman meets Hairbreadth Holahan an escape artist and his young son Dan. Later, Holahan is approached by criminals who have discovered that Hairbreadth had a secret criminal past as Mace Larkin. They threaten to expose him unless he breaks their boss, Stoney Croy out of prison.
During a performance with Superman, Hairbreadth steals a valuable diamond. Superman catches him and sends him back to jail. Hairbreadth then breaks out Croy and is led to a secret criminal hide-out inside an abandoned prison. The Holahan reveals himself as Superman. The two switched places and were working together to apprehend the entire gang. Following the successful capture of the criminals, Hairbreadth receives an official pardon.
