Synopsis:
Joe Everett is released from prison after five years when a dying crook confesses to the crimes Joe was convicted of. Joe is upset that five years of his life were wasted because he was framed, so Johnny Quick offers to help him live out five years in a day.
Johnny gives Joe his speed formula and lets him try out careers as a writer, painter, composer, sculptor, and architect. Joe fails at each career, but he successfully invented a new clock while in prison and begins a career as an inventor.
