The Nightshade Odyssey Part 2
June Moone loses her power to become the Enchantress in this story when the Succubus is removed from her and placed into Nightshade.
This story is continued from Suicide Squad #14 and continues in Suicide Squad #16.
Synopsis:
The Suicide Squad are prisoners of Larry Eden, the brother of Nightshade. He reveals that his body has been possessed by the Incubus, the son of Azhmodeus, a fallen angel. Larry explains that Azhmodeus created two children, himself and the Succubus. The intended hosts were Eve's Aunt Beah and her mother Rhea. However, Rhea escaped with the help of Dhazmor, a mystical guardian.
Rhea went to Earth and gave birth to Larry and Eve before returning with them to the Nightshade dimension. The children of Azhmodeus then intended to possess Rhea's children. Beah passed the Incubus on to Larry. Rhea was mortally wounded, but not before she got Eve to safety. Dhazmor then captured the Succubus and fused it with June Moone to create the Enchantress. He hoped to make her a force for good, but she became evil.
Now that Nightshade and the Enchantress are back in the Nightshade dimension. Larry removes the Succubus from Eve and places it into Eve. He then intends to mate with her in order to create a host for Azhmodeus. However, once possessed by the Succubus, Eve fights her brother. The battle causes the dimension to lose cohesion. Deadshot shoots Larry in the head as the world around the Squad disappears.
