Synopsis:
Two police officers respond to a radio call. One of the officers sees a man with a gun. They trade fire. The officer misses, but the gunman hits the cop in the chest. Green Arrow was nearby and sees the shooting, so he fires an arrow which strikes the gunman.
When everything calms down, the officer is still alive. The gunman was firing paintballs and was only a teenager. The kid nearly dies from Ollie's arrow. Later, at an inquest the officer is cleared of wrongdoing. Oliver came to the defense of another, so he is also cleared. However, the judge comes down hard on Oliver and does not condone his vigilante actions.
Following the incident Ollie begins drinking. When he sees some hoodlums stripping a car, he chooses to pass them by and not get involved. Dinah worries for Ollie and calls Hal Jordan for help.
