Synopsis:
Movie press agent Jack Allen lures Lois Lane to the northern wastes with a report of a missing movie crew. Superman follows her. Once they reach the arctic, the trio discover a rainbow bridge leading to a castle. Inside, Superman meets Thor and Odin who are holding the crew prisoner. The Man of Steel bargains for their freedom by challenging the norsemen.

Superman is tested in three challenges. He loses the first to Loki. Then he fails to best Thor. During the third challenge against Odin himself, Superman expose the gods as actors in a movie production. Allen explains that it was a stunt designed to create a movie about Superman's feats.

After the hoax has been exposed, the actors playing Thor, Odin, and Loki are revealed to be racketeers. Bushy Barnes, the gang leader, threatens to blow up the castle and everyone in it. While Superman acts to protect Lois and the film crew, the crooks try to escape. Superman uses a large tree as a catapult and brings down their plane with a boulder.
