This story is continued from the first story of Arak/Son of Thunder #10 and continues in the first story of Arak/Son of Thunder #12.
Synopsis:
Khiron has led Arak to the top of Mount Olympus where Arak's face has been carved in the mountainside. The centaur explains that he once trained pupils such as Hercules and offers to train Arak. However, Arak's mission and his missing friend Valda are of greater concern. Khiron remains evasive about the Iron Maiden's whereabouts.
While descending the mountain, the pair are attacked by harpies. Although they are briefly dragged into the sky, Arak and the centaur reach the bottom safely. They then encounter the satyr, Satyricus whom lured Valda away from Arak in the night. The satyr explains that soldiers led by Brutius have captured Valda.
Arak and Khiron are led to the soldiers' camp by Satyricus. Valda and Brutius are not present, but the trio raid the camp anyway. They win a victory, but Khiron is shot by an archer that leaves him near death.
