This story continues in the first story of Arak/Son of Thunder #14.
Synopsis:
Arak and Satyricus witness the murder of three monks by saracen raiders. Arak charges into battle and kills one of the raiders. Satyricus then uses his pipes to disable the others. Arak then sees winged creatures attack the one monk who has survived. Arak tries to help, the the winged creatures, known as Keres, depart with the souls of the dead monks.
Satyricus then dons the robes of one of the dead monks. When the pair near a mountain cliff, a monk from above shouts a greeting. Satyricus is mistaken for the monk whose robe he now wears. Arak and Satyricus are then invited to the monestary.
After joining the monks for a meal, the monks tell a story about naked women bathing in the caves inside the mountain. Satyricus offers to investigate so that he and Arak can get away from the monks. Inside the cave, the satyr suddenly falls asleep, and Arak becomes lost. He finds a thread which leads him to a tapestry which depicts his native land and He-No the god of thunder.
