Comments:
Batman rejoins the Outsiders at the conclusion of this story.

Eclipso and Bruce Gordon become one individual again in this story.

This story is continued from Outsiders #17.

Synopsis:
Batman and the Outsiders have escaped from Eclipso. When Eclipso sends his followers in pursuit, Batman suggests that they double back in order to rescue Bruce Gordon who is still a captive. Eclipso interrupts the rescue, but Batman holds him off by threatening to kill Gordon who is still linked to Eclipso.

Gordon then leads the Outsiders to a laboratory which contains solar equipment designed to be used against Eclipso. The villain is lured to the lab where the Outsiders are able to gain the upper hand. However, they are unable to complete the victory until Bruce sacrifices himself by allowing Eclipso to once again merge with his body.

Following the adventure, Batman decides to renew his association with the Outsiders.
