Synopsis:
Sandman stops a hit-and-run driver, but finds both the driver and victim dead. When he returns home Dian Belmont is waiting for him and explains that the men were jury members that convicted two crooks Tuffy and Limpy. Now the crooks are threatening her father the district attorney.

Sandman begins investigating the case and tries to arrange a truce with police. He is unable to get the truce and is wounded by the crooks. Despite the injury, he is able to save the district attorney and capture the crooks. Following the incident the district attorney offers a pardon if the Sandman will reveal his identity, which Wes refuses.
