Synopsis:
On the planet Thanagar, Superman sends Orion to act as a diversion against the winged warriors who are under the influence of the anti-life aspect. He then tunnels underground, finds the bomb, and confronts the anti-life entity which has taken the form of a giant robot. Superman wins the day, trapping the aspect in a device of Darkseid's design. He then destroys the bomb. When he returns to the surface, he is shocked. Orion has killed a legion of winged Thanagarians.
On the planet Rann, the anti-life aspect takes the form of a petroleum based shape-shifter. It surprises Starfire and outwits Lightray. Starfire is able to recover and stop the bomb from destroying the planet. The aspect, however, escapes.
On New Genesis, Darkseid plans to confront the anti-life entity directly in its own dimension using the power of Etrigan. Highfather doesn't want to go along with the plan, but Darkseid executes it anyway. All is not lost, however, as Batman has contacted a mysterious friend who takes Highfather and the recently returned Orion to stop Darkseid.
