Synopsis:
Jonah Hex captures John Running Wolf an army corporal AWOL from Fort Lang. When Jonah delivers the indian, he finds the fort under attack by a band of indian raiders. They are easily driven off.
After getting his reward, Jonah finds a nearby saloon. Inside he is reunited with Eileen an old friend. He also meets the town mayor and railroad owner William Vandermeer. They hire him to retrieve a woman named Muriel, whom they claim was kidnapped by the local indian chief Red Horse.
Jonah tracks down Red Horse. He quickly learns that Muriel has willingly joined the indian as his wife. Jonah brings them both back anyway. Along the way, snipers kill Red Horse, who claimed the indian attacks on the fort were not his doing.
Jonah delivers Muriel and Red Horse's corpse to Vandermeer. He also survives an attack by John Running Wolf who was behind the renegade attacks. He was in Vandermeer's employ. They wanted to turn the army against the indians in order to drive the tribe off their lands, so that a railroad could be built. Jonah takes his reward for completing his assignment, leaving the conspirators to the authorities now that their scheme has been exposed.
