Comments:
This story is continued from Weird #2 and continues in Weird #4.

Synopsis:
The Weird confronts Jason Morgan and attempts to stop him from opening a bridge between dimensions. The battle causes destruction to Jason's building forcing the Justice League to contain the damage. Jason then erects an impenetrable barrier to keep the heroes out. The Weird then loses his battle with Jason and is imprisoned in a bubble that negates the Weird's power.

Jason then proceeds to open the dimensional bridge. The Weird considers releasing his destructive energies to stop Jason. Even withing the energy barrier, he predicts the resulting explosion would destroy a ten-mile radius around Metropolis.

As Jason succeeds bringing two Macrolatts to Earth, the Weird unleashes some of his power. He is able to escape the prison Jason constructed, but the two Macrolatt's escape into the world. The Weird then kills Jason to prevent him from creating another bridge.

When Jason dies, the energy barrier falls allowing the Justice League to move in. They are unaware of the Weird's past or purpose and, seeing the dead body, now consider him a killer. J'onn goes invisible and is successfully in knocking out the Weird. Then Superman and Nuklon appear on the rooftops. Both have been possessed by the Macrolatts.
