Synopsis:
After defeating the Thanagaran invasion fleet, Hawkman and Hawkwoman struggle against Deron Ved for control of their space ship. Eventually Hawkman succeeds in regaining control and takes the ship to Thanagar. Upon their arrival, they are attacked by the Wingmen intent on killing Ved for his failures.
Hawkman meets with the leader of the Wingmen Rul Pintar. The Winged Wonder believes that the alien influence of Hyathis is responsible for Thanagar's aggressive military policy. He infiltrates the chambers of the Thanagar Ruling Council only to discover that Hyathis is a robot. The Ruling Council are responsible for the war, and they capture the Hawks.
