This story is continued from Hellblazer #15 and continues in part in Hellblazer #17.
Synopsis:
John and several members of the Freedom Mob are beaten when police raid the camp. Marj and Mercury are taken by the police. The Freedom Mob are forced to make repairs to their vehicles and prepare to move before the police return. John goes into town to get Marj and Mercury out of jail.
On the way into town, John passes a scene where a woman was trampled to death by a cow. Her brother, Reverend Jenkins had gone mad and killed one of the cows. He is now in police custody.
John arrives at the police station. He finds Marj who wasn't arrested. She was picked up on the side of the road. She has been drugged. Mercury is missing, and the police claim they were not responsible for the raid. John takes Marj back to the camp, then sets out to find Mercury.
