Synopsis:
Despero fakes his own death and escapes the dimension of Kalanor, returning to Earth to plague the Justice League. He causes Snapper Carr, Wonder Woman, Green Arrow, and Atom to suffer from old age, and traps Batman, J'onn J'onzz, Flash, Aquaman, and Green Lantern in giant hourglasses formed from the energy of their own powers.
The hourglasses transport the heroes to chronal dimensions where Despero has formed three alternate Earths, which he intends to conquer. In these worlds, the JLA members are powerless, but are able to gift other inhabitants with their powers simply by touching them. Flash teams up with a super-fast dinosaur to halt an ice-age on R-Earth, where reptiles are the highest form of life, while Batman and Green Lantern find themselves on I-Earth, where they enable intelligent insects to harness the power ring's energy against the invasion, and Aquaman and J'onn J'onzz gift a race of parakinetic sharks with their super-powers on M-Earth.
Back in the Secret Sanctuary, an elderly "Superman" arrives late, only to be exposed by Wonder Woman as Despero in disguise. Caught in her magic lasso, the mutant villain is forced to return the other five members from the chronal dimensions and to restore the artificially aged members' youth.
