Synopsis:
The Swamp Thing visits the Parliament of Trees to tell them of his adventure in space. The elders are surprised to learn that he is still alive. When Swamp Thing was presumed dead they began grooming a new plant elemental to replace him. With Swamp Thing's return they ask him to kill the young elemental before it can be born, but Swamp Thing refuses. He abdicates his place as the reigning elemental, opting to live in peace with Abby.
While Swamp Thing is away, Abby awakes hungry and alone. She decides to eat a tuber from one of Swamp Thing's discarded bodies. The hallucinogenic properties of the plant cause her to have twisted visions of Arcane and other fears from her past.
As the effects of the tuber wear off, Abby finds John Constantine has come to find Swamp Thing. When Alec returns, Constantine tells him about an upcoming event involving the Floronic Man. Swamp Thing wants no part of the human world and tells Constantine about the new elemental. He then disappears.
