Synopsis:
Ishum leads the Warlord and Aoife to the palace of the god Yk'kphat to retrieve the horn which can put the great worm Anu back to sleep. On the way they rescue Guernon Darkmoon from an angry merchant. Only after the rescue do they learn that Guernon is a thief. They allow him to join their party because he possesses the skill to break into Yk'kphat's treasure chamber. Once inside the chamber, Aoife retrieves the horn, but Guernon is killed by a serpent guardian.

While Aoife retrieves the horn, Ishum and Morgan distract Yk'kphat. Shortly after the battle begins, Morgan learns that Tara's spirit is imprisoned in a giant pearl that the god wears around his neck. Morgan and his friends free Tara and other captured warriors. Ishum then opens a portal back to Skartaris. Aoife stays behind to prevent Yk'kphat from sending a horde of dragons through the portal behind them.

Morgan leads the army of warrior spirits back to Shamballah where Jennifer has been desperately trying to mount a defense. Even her bargain with demonic forces has failed to slow Anu, the great worm. When Ishum attempts to blow the horn that will put Anu to sleep, Yk'kphat pulls the horn back to his dimension.

Anu then unleashes forces that will begin destroying the universe. First a great fire ravages the city. Jennifer uses a spell to protect her friends and allies. Then Anu unleashes an power that turns men and lands into ice. Finally, he turns many men into stone. The forces of Skartaris dwindle through each attack.

Suddenly, Aoife returns to Skartaris through a portal. She explains that Yk'kphat was angry that Khnathaiti awoke Anu early. He allowed her to return with the horn. She gives it to Ishum, but he is killed by Anu before he can sound it. The Warlord grabs the horn and uses it himself. Anu is forces to leave Skartaris and return to slumber until the true end of the universe.

In the aftermath, Jennifer learns that Khnathaiti was turned into stone during one of Anu's attacks, ending her as a threat. Aoife reveals that her bargain with Yk'kphat demands that the escaped warrior spirits must return to serve the god. Aoife has arranged for Tara to remain by offering to take her place with Yk'kphat. Jennifer then uses her magic to restore Tara's spirit to her comatose body. Restored to life at last, Tara and Travis Morgan are reunited.
