Tommy Carma escapes from Arkham Asylum and kills two guards. Tommy still believes that he is Batman. He finds a secret entrance to the Batman by accident and takes the Batmobile. When the real Batman discovers that his car was stolen, he questions Carma's old partner, Peter Lewis. Lewis leads Batman to Lou Spindle whom ordered the hit on Carma that claimed the ex-cop's wife and child. Carma reaches Spindle first, and the crook is shot by his own men. Batman arrives and stops the rest of the crooks. He then beats Carma and escorts him back to Arkham.
