Synopsis:
While trying to extinguish a house fire, Superboy suddenly finds that his powers have increased. The Boy of Steel is unable to control the intensity of his newly increased strength and soon becomes a menace to Smallville. When Clark Kent exhibits tremendous strength too, Lana believes she has proven his secret identity.
Superboy eventually discovers that a recently crashed meteorite is responsible for his increased powers. The closer he gets to the meteorite, the stronger his powers become. They become too strong to approach the meteorite to dispose of it, so he gathers a Kryptonite meteorite from the ocean and uses it to counterbalance his great strength. He then throws both meteorites into deep space. With the meteorite gone, Superboy's strength returns to normal.
Superboy then explains to Lana that he took Clark Kent's place on their date, so that Clark could study in the library. He had placed a wax figure of himself in the library to back up the story. Lana's efforts to prove that Clark is Superboy once again are thwarted.
