Comments:
This story, which was not titled, is broken up into three single pages which serve to introduce the other stories in this issue.
Given that this story must take place after the others in this issue and that Andre's story must take place no earlier than August, 1940, it shall be assumed that this story and all those in this issue take place sometime in August of 1940 which places them slightly out of sequence from the other issues in this series. Blackhawk #261 takes place on June 18, 1940.
Synopsis:
One night on Blackhawk Island, Blackhawk reviews the service diary's of his men. He reads and tale involving Andre and another involving Hendrickson before retiring for the night. Stanislaus then enters the library and reads a diary entry made by Blackhawk himself.
