While testing some new weapons for the military, Superboy encounters an older version of himself, Superman. Superman explains that Red Kryptonite causes him to be created and if both remain on Earth, the forces of time and space will destroy the world.
Superboy agrees to leave Earth, but he is brought back by Krypto. Jonathan Kent had Krypto fetch his master because he has learned that Superman is an imposter. He is really Roz-Em, a Kryptonian criminal and former enemy of Jor-El. After learning the truth about Roz-Em’s deception, Superboy sends the villain into the Phantom Zone.
