This story is presented as "An Untold Tale of Superman".
Synopsis:
Superman remembers the day in which he revealed his existance as Superboy to the world. First he impressed the Mayor by capturing some robbers. The Mayor brought him to the Governor who was astounded at Superboy’s amazing speed which allowed him to deliver a last minute reprieve to save a soon to be executed prisoner. The Governor brought him to see the President, whom Superboy rescues from an assassination attempt by a foreign spy.
The President then gives Superboy several jobs to perform. After completing the tasks, Superboy returns to the White House where letters asking for his assistance has accumulated. Superboy agrees to establish a regular patrol route and keep his eyes out for big emergencies.
After his recollection, Superman returns to the Daily Planet to meet Lana Lang, his childhood friend. They look through an old yearbook which predicted that Clark would be famous someday.
